The processors

A storage facility cannot be efficiently operated without a proper control system. A control system continuously monitors temperature, humidity and other conditions in a storage facility and in the outside environment. Depending on the selected mode of operation, it carries out various commands to the air treatment equipment.Agroel has developed and manufactures its own control systems that optimise the operation of ventilation, refrigeration, humidification, and other equipment and guarantees the best quality of your produce. We have always utilised the newest microprocessor technology and the latest knowledge in the field of agricultural produce storage. At the same time, we continually strive to make our control systems easy to use. Our customers confirm that we have been successful. Agroel control systems are designed with respect to maximum safety; therefore, they include triple protection of some crucial parts. These systems are also equipped with a self-diagnostics feature, which in practice means that a storage operator is immediately informed if a problem occurs with the air treatment equipment or in the control system itself.

SPJ-Net SmartStorage Control System

● Enables automatic control of one storage unité
● The latest Agroel product with many new features
● Designed as a DIN-bar snap-on module so it fits any switchboard panel
● 15 sensor inputs can be configured as required for a specific storage type.

The inputs can be configured for the connection of the following sensors:
 ● Product (Crop) temperature sensors
 ● Double duct temperature sensors with sensor malfunction diagnostics for accurate supply air temperature measuring
 ● Outdoor temperature sensors
 ● Outdoor-air relative humidity sensors
 ● Outdoor-air relative humidity sensors
 ● Bioimpedance sensors (monitoring of surface moisture on stored product)
 ● Carbon dioxide sensor
 ● Cooling circuit pressure sensors

Configurable outputs:
 ● Fans for forward and reverse air circulation. Fan speed (RPM) can be controlled by the SPJ-Net System if frequency-converters are used.
 ● Actuators for the control of inlet and outlet hatches (doors). The position sensor sends information about the actual position of hatches.
 ● Connections for the refrigeration, evaporator de-icing, humidification and heating equipment

Operation modes - Programs

Agroel control systems are equipped with many operation modes (programs) with respect to the type of stored product and it's biological stage. Programs include, but are not limited to:

● Post-harvest surface drying of potato tubers and other produce. The program utilises outdoor-air dew point calculation for efficient drying
● Curing of mechanically damaged potato tubers during harvesting
● A long-term storage program with a gradual temperature decrease limitation
● Long-term storage with weight loss minimization features
● Warming before storage unloading
● Other special modes

Storage operators can use and adjust many optional settings that contribute to successful and efficient storage:

● Ventilation limitation presets (electric power peaks bridging in order to lower costs)
● Temperature shock-protection settings
● Forced ventilation for homogenisation of storage air and balancing product temperatures
● Use of air-humidifying units not only for air-humidification, but also for its significant cooling effect
● Use of refrigeration with auto-defrost features
● Other options dependent on the type of storage and client's demands

Local and remote control

Agroel control systems can be operated in the following ways:

● Through a display and a keyboard on the control panels, directly in the warehouse
● Through a PC and our software. There are several ways to interconnect the PC and the control units:
 ● By using a two-wire (unshielded or shielded) connection for up to a distance of 3 km
 ● By using a phone modem and Agroel RemoteAccess module for an unlimited distance
 ● By using a wireless GSM network modem and Agroel RemoteAccess module for an unlimited distance
 ● By using a secured internet connection for an unlimited distance

PC Software

Agroel supplies only user-friendly software for the remote control of our control systems. AgroelView software is designed for the SPJ-Net system and PCN software for the IPJ-Net system.A storage operator does not need to have any special computer skills to use our software.

Main advantages of utilizing a PC and Agroel software:

● Central overview and control of all storage units at your fingertips from virtually anywhere
● Well-arranged graphical displays
● Unlimited archiving of data measured in all storage units (temperatures, relative humidity, CO2, detailed information on the operation of fans, cooling system, etc.) Archived data can also be printed in the form of charts and graphs
